About Anjali

Hi, I’m Anjali — and I’m grateful to have you here.

I began my yoga journey in 2020, during a time when so many of us felt disconnected from ourselves and the world around us. I was feeling anxious and unsettled, searching for way to ground myself—to find stillness not just in my mind, but in my body. Yoga became that path for me.

When I moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 2022 to pursue my Master’s in Finance and Sustainability, I started taking classes at Urban Yoga. That space became a sanctuary, and eventually the place where I began my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training. This journey has invited me to turn inward, to reflect, and to grow—not just as a teacher, but as a human being navigating this beautifully, complex life.

Yoga has shown me how our bodies carry emotions, memories, and patterns—what yogic philosophy calls samskaras. Through breath and movement, I’ve learned how to make space for those emotions to rise, move through, and release. It’s a practice of healing and becoming, over and over again.

This space is a reflection of that journey. Here, I share what I’m learning—on and off the mat. Whether you’re new to yoga, returning to yourself, or simply curious, I hope you find something here that speaks to you.
